Forrest Sauvignon Blanc 2009
The Forrest 2009 Sauvignon Blanc was drawn from six vineyards located around Renwick on the Wairau River Valley. Whilst all have distinctive terroir, they share in common stony free draining and devigorating soil profile. Classical Marlborough terroir critical in achieving wine balance and modest crop levels to produce premium Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The stony nature of the soil also gives to the wine a mineral character – so called “wet stone” aroma.

Tasting Notes
Enticing nose of fresh herbs, lemon thyme, guava, a hint of passionfruit and a mineral aspect evocative of wet stone reflecting the Wairau River Valley stony riverbed terroir from which it comes. The palate is full and textured, refreshingly crisp with a dry lingering finish that is remarkable. Elegant and sophisticated Sauvignon Blanc that has been created to flourish with time.
