Dr John Forrest's love of innovation and experimentation were tested in his attempts to produce this lower alcohol, yet full flavoured Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Careful selection of Sauvignon Blanc grape clones, vineyard sites and micro-climate; plus a couple of little viticultural secrets have resulted in this innovative wine.
Sustainably grown, naturally produced in the vineyard, full flavoured Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Pungently flavoured Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that leaps from the glass with red capsicum, passionfruit and fresh herbs; it's full and satisfying to taste with a crisp and refreshing finish and all at a modest 9.5% alcohol. What's not to like about that!

Very rich with sweet gooseberries and honey on the palette leading to a soft finish.San Francisco International Wine Challenge, US 2014
Bright, very pale straw-green colour, near colourless on rim. The nose is softly full and voluminous with aromas of ripe, pungent passionfruit and tropical fruits, harmoniously presented, building with depth. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the palate features soft and gentle, grainy textures encasing up-front passionfruit flavours infused with mineral notes. The palate has restrained, but lush and juicy acidity underlining the phenolic line, and the flavours flow to a dry, mouthwatering finish with soft, lingering minerally nuances. This is a thirst-quenching, up-front and soft textured Sauvignon Blanc with pungent passionfruit flavours. Match with Asian fare and vegetable dishes over the next 2 years. Made from fruit especially managed for the lower alcohol style, fermented to 9.5% alc. and 7.8 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Nov 2013
